About Us
We are a Peruvian company founded in 2010 and based in the city of Cusco. We specialize in unconventional tourism and adventure, combined with cultural, educational, and natural history. We also hold a strong social and environmental agenda and work to make sure we are supporting local businesses and the environment. We support many ongoing projects in the Andean Communities to maximize the positive effects of tourism and continuously seek to find more ways to engage with the local community. We also want everyone to appreciate our tours and thus we offer activities and excursions for people with disabilities.
Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu were two places that were the heart of the Inka empire and contain many culturally significant things to visit and therefore, are two of the main destinations for many of our trips. You can do a more traditional trip to discover the beauty of those places as well as rafting, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and more.
FAIR TRADE IN TOURISM
Willka Travel is one of the few companies that campaigns for increased environmental protection and clean rivers in Peru and especially in Cusco. No matter the destination, we support these efforts in all places because we recognize the importance of protecting the environment. Environmental sustainability has been a central theme to our company since the beginning. Part of the cost of every tour is used to support activities and campaigns to support a clean environment. Some past projects include: cleaning the Vilcanota river, protecting Qeunua reforestation, environmental education, and generating employment for the inhabitants of the communities.

True sustainability in all business and operations is carefully planned. We work hard to ensure that the natural and cultural values of each region and/or location is preserved.
In our office, we ensure that everything operates according to standards that maintain environmental sustainability with maximum efficiency. We work hard to ensure we are leaving a positive impact on the community and the environment. For example, our trips to the jungle are operated according to the minimum standards of impact. Further, whenever possible we collaborate with others to undertake projects that promote conservation, protection, and restoration of the local environment.
