- Start your hike to Soraypampa from Challacancha. Hike up to Humantay Lake in the afternoon and spend the night at Camp.

- Hike up to Salkantay Pass via the Trail of the Seven Snakes this morning for stunning views before lunch. Enjoy the journey as you return to Cusco in our company car.

Day 01-Cusco | Challacancha – Soraypampa – Humantay Lake – Camp
Early Morning Departure:
Your exciting 2-day adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your accommodation in Cusco. The first stop will be in Mollepata for a nourishing breakfast to fuel up for the day ahead. After breakfast, continue the journey to Challacancha for a brief rest.
Trek to Soraypampa:
From Challacancha, begin your walk towards the camp in Soraypampa. This initial stretch is not too challenging and will help you acclimate to the altitude. Follow a small Inca canal most of the way while taking in the impressive Andean scenery.
Arrival at Camp:
Upon arriving at Soraypampa, settle into your camp in front of the majestic and snowy Salkantay and Humantay mountains. The reception staff will greet you with an exquisite lunch. Afterward, you’ll have time to rest in your camp or explore the site before the afternoon hike.
Hike to Humantay Lake:
In the afternoon, embark on an uphill climb to Humantay Lake (4,200 meters / 13,780 feet). Take it easy due to the altitude. Once you reach the top, marvel at the breathtaking view of the jewel-like lake set against the snowy, white backdrop.
Evening at Camp:
Return to Camp for a delightful dinner and star-gazing session. Your guide will share fascinating insights into Inca astronomy. Enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep under the Andean starry sky.
Day 02 – Camp |Salkantaypampa – Salkantay Pass – Soyrococha – Soraypampa – Cusco
Morning Ascent:
Today’s the grand day as you’ll reach the highest point of the trek. Begin with a filling and nutritious breakfast to fuel your adventure. Gradually ascend to Salkantaypampa and navigate the challenging path known as “The Trail of the 7 Snakes” until you reach the impressive Salkantay Pass at 4,630 meters (15,190 feet). Take some time at the pass to capture memorable photos and enjoy the breathtaking landscape.
Descent to Lunch Spot:
After soaking in the awe-inspiring views of the snow-capped mountains and feeling the power of nature, descend through unique rocky terrain to our campsite for lunch. Along the way, catch glimpses of the vast forest of snow-covered stones from a distance. The incredible views at every turn will make the effort worthwhile.
Afternoon Break:
After lunch at the camp, take a well-deserved break before heading out on the last stretch of the journey. For the final 30 minutes, board the transport and enjoy the scenic drive back to Cusco. Along this part of the journey, seize the opportunity to snap great photos of valleys, mountains, rivers, and farming fields.
Return to Cusco:
Finally, arrive in Cusco and be dropped off at your accommodation for some well-earned rest. Reflect on the amazing adventure and the stunning landscapes you’ve experienced during the trek.

- Cancel your tour at least 30 days in advance and it will be charged only 40% of the total amount to cover up administration expenses. Passed the 30 days it will be charged the full amount.
- The policy to reschedule or to make any amendment allows the update to be made no more than 15 days prior to the date of your tour and it is valid until December 31st
, 2022. (To reschedule Machu Picchu it will be charged USD 25 per person to cover up administration expenses. - The itinerary may be subject to changes due to unforeseen circumstances, beyond the control of the operator, changes without prior notice.

- If for any reason your tour gets cancelled during the pandemic we highly recommend you to consider postponing your tour to 2025 or 2026. It will only be charged the amount of USD 25 for changing the date on the Machu Picchu entrance ticket.
