8-DAY CUSCO & PUNO
Our 8-day itinerary is specially designed for families and couples who want to experience the best of the Peruvian altiplano with trips to Cusco and Puno.
Among the main attractions of this package are Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, in Puno; the Inca ruins of Pisac and Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley of the Incas; and of course, the highlight of the trip: the lost city of Machu Picchu.

Itinerary
Day 1: WELCOME TO CUSCO
Welcome to Cusco! Upon arrival our local staff will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time you can either take a City Tour to see the best attractions of the city or explore the surroundings of the historic center on your own.
Day 2: MARAS & MORAY
Visit the amazing Salineras of Maras with its more than 3000 natural salt pools, and visit the Inca agricultural laboratory of Moray. All this in just half a day from Cusco. If you want more adventure, ask your agent about the quad bike version of this tour!
Day 3: SACRED VALLEY – AGUAS CALIENTES
Enjoy a tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas visiting two of the most important historical and cultural centers in the Cusco region: Pisac and Ollantaytambo. In the late afternoon, board the train to Aguas Calientes where you will spend the night before your visit to Machu Picchu
Day 4: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
On this day you will take the much dreamed-of guided tour of the magical lost city of Machu Picchu, lasting approximately 2 hours – more than enough time to learn the history of this sacred site and take the best photos. After the tour ends, we return to the small town of Aguas Calientes, from where the train leaves for the destination station, and finally our transportation from the station to your hotel in Cusco.
Day 5: RAINBOW MOUNTAIN
Get up close to the rare beauty of the Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca, the second most visited destination in the country and one that needs no introduction. It is a mandatory stop for everyone in Cusco on a tour where you can also enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the southern valley of Cusco and observe alpacas and llamas along the way. If you prefer you can exchange this tour for the Lake Humantay experience.
Day 6: CUSCO – SUN ROUTE – PUNO
On this day we will make our journey towards the city of Puno along the route known as the Sun Route, by tourist bus, making stops at the main historical sites during the trip such as the church of Andahuaylillas, the archeological complex of Rachi and the lithic museum of Pukara.
Day 7: TITICACA LAKE
In the morning at 7:00 am we leave the hotel towards the port of Puno to embark on an adventure on the waters of the highest navigable river in the world, where we will visit the islands of Uros and Taquile to see first hand how the people of the floating islands of Lake Titicaca live. In the evening we board an overnight bus back to the city of Cusco, arriving the next morning around 5:30 am.
Day 8: CUSCO – LIMA
At the agreed time, we will take you safely to the airport for your flight out of Cusco.

FAQ
Accommodation, transfers, and flights are included?
You can choose to book tours only or the complete package that includes tours, transfers and hotels. We do not include flights but will give you recommendations for airlines and schedules.
Why is the tourist ticket not included?
The Boleto Turístico (tourist ticket) is a personal ticket and is not sold in advance. It must be purchased in Cusco or at the entrance of the visited sites where this ticket is required.

What to do with my luggage during the trip to Machu Picchu?
The maximum volume allowed on the trains is 5 kg per person, so you should travel with as little as possible, as all the rest of your luggage should stay at your hotel in Cusco during the two day trip. If you check out when you travel to Machu Picchu, you can leave your luggage in the hotel’s storage room.
What time will I enter Machu Picchu?
The entrance times for this tour is from 7am on, but it may vary according to ticket availability at the time of booking. Remember: the earlier you make your reservation, the more likely you are to get the best times.

- Cancel your tour 48 hours in advance and be reimbursed for the full amount
of the tour. If you cancel the tour after these 48 hours prior to your tour no
refund will be processed. - The policy to reschedule or to make any amendment allows the update to be
made no more than 5 days prior to the date of your tour and it is valid until
December 30th, 2022. - The itinerary may be subject to changes due to unforeseen circumstances,
beyond the control of the operator, changes without prior notice
