7-DAY CUSCO & HUACACHINA
Our 7-day itinerary is specially designed for families and couples who want to experience the best of Huacachina and Cusco in a one-week trip in Peru.
Among the main attractions of this package are the impressive Huacachina oasis and the Ballestas Islands in the Ica desert south of Lima; the Inca ruins of Pisac and Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley of the Incas; Rainbow Mountain; and of course the highlight of this trip: Machu Picchu.
Our team will take care of everything you need to enjoy your trip with comfort, safety and tranquility: transfers between hotel and airport, sightseeing transportation, professional guides, train and bus tickets, hotels (optional) and tickets to Machu Picchu.
Our itinerary can be changed according to your arrival and departure dates and times, as well as the tours that can be in small groups or private. Contact our specialists to receive more information and alternatives for your trip!
Day 1: WELCOME TO LIMA
Welcome to Peru and Lima! Upon arrival, our local staff will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Miraflores. Depending on your arrival time you can take a City Tour to see the best attractions of the city or explore the surroundings of Miraflores on your own.
Day 2: LIMA – ICA – HUACACHINA
This day we will leave Lima for Paracas, where we will board a speedboat for our tour of the Ballestas Islands – natural habitat of hundreds of native and migratory species such as sea lions, Humboldt penguins, dolphins, pelicans, among other species. In the afternoon, we head to the Huacachina oasis for our adventure in buggies and sandboarding on the dunes around the oasis where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset before the journey back to Lima.
Day 3: LIMA – CUSCO
Upon arrival in Cusco our staff will be waiting for you at the airport to take you safely to your hotel. On this day we recommend a good rest and a light diet in order for your body to acclimate better to the altitude of more than 3400m above sea level.
Day 4: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY – AGUAS CALIENTES
Enjoy a tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas visiting two of the most important historical and cultural centers in the Cusco region: Pisac and Ollantaytambo. In the late afternoon, board the train to Aguas Calientes where you will spend the night before your visit to Machu Picchu
Day 5: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
This day you will take the much dreamed-of guided tour of the magical lost city of Machu Picchu, lasting approximately 2 hours – more than enough time to learn the history of this sacred place and take the best photos. After the tour ends, we return to Aguas Calientes town, from where the train leaves for the destination station, and finally our transportation from the station to your hotel in Cusco.
Day 6: RAINBOW MOUNTAIN
Get up close to the rare beauty of the Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca, the second most visited destination in the country and one that needs no introduction. It is a mandatory stop for everyone in Cusco on a tour where you can also enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the southern valley of Cusco and observe alpacas and llamas along the way.
If you prefer you can exchange this activity for the Humantay Lake experience.
Day 7: CUSCO – LIMA
At the agreed time we will take you to the airport safely for your flight from Cusco to Lima.
